Jan Rosza (Liddicut) is our guest speaker on 11 th August 2019 at 1.30 pm at the Court House 11 High St Drysdale .She is speaking about the Oliver family and their role with the Portarlington Mill and Bellarine Mill at Drysdale and beyond
"Jan Liddicut is a writer and genealogist. She has spent 25 years researching her family history and plans to write up each branch. She has also published four children's books, various newspaper articles and for many years worked in local government as a media and speech writer. Her passion however is genealogy and telling her family stories.
Her mother was an Oliver whose family have strong links with the early days of the Bellarine Peninsula and other parts of Victoria. Having migrated from Cornwall at the tail end of the Corn Laws, they were inter-generational flour millers at the cutting edge of milling in colonial days.
